FORTÆLLETID
Digital storytelling platform for schools
Fortælletid seeks to integrate traditional storytelling in education. We make storytelling performances easily available for schoolchildren by immortalizing performances on video and offering them to Danish primary schools. We use the stories side by side with educational materials that fits the demands, channels and values of the school system. The Fortælletid digital platform is online and has a library of 472 stories in relevant subjects and different languages told by over 60 different storytellers from all over Europe, we reached around 12.000 pupils in Denmark.
Fortælletid aimes to strengthen its international connections, through the FEST grant, by inviting international storytellers to participate in the recording of their stories and letting them visit the Danish schools in person. The long-term goals is to gain international exposure; to draw internationally recognized storytellers to Denmark and help them spread their stories across the Danish school sector. In this way we strive to expose traditional stories from different regions of Europe in the school. On a larger scale we will strive to give these stories back to the European school pupils.
